# Project Recap File

> One file per project or campaign. Fill it in as you go, not at the end. The version you write while the work is fresh is worth ten times the one you reconstruct from memory three months later. When this is done, it becomes the thing you sell with, the thing a teammate picks up from, and the thing an AI can read to rebuild context in seconds.

---

## 1. Snapshot
- **Project / campaign name:**
- **Client / brand:**
- **Owner:**
- **Status:** Planning / In progress / Complete / Killed
- **Start date:**
- **End date:**
- **One-line summary:** *(What was this, in a sentence you could say out loud?)*

---

## 2. The Goal
- **Business objective:** *(What was the client actually trying to move?)*
- **Marketing objective:** *(What did we own?)*
- **Success criteria / targets:** *(The numbers we said we'd hit.)*
- **Constraints:** *(Budget, timeline, brand, legal, technical.)*

---

## 3. People
| Name | Role | Internal / External | Notes |
|------|------|---------------------|-------|
| | | | |

*(Include vendors, contractors, client-side stakeholders, and approvers. Future-you will want to know who to call.)*

---

## 4. Timeline & Effort
- **Total elapsed time:**
- **Estimated hours invested:**
- **Key dates / milestones:**
  -
- **Where time actually went vs. where we expected it to go:**

---

## 5. Decision Log
> The single highest-value section. Capture decisions and the reasoning behind them. "We did X" is worth little. "We did X instead of Y because Z" is worth everything.

| Date | Decision | Options considered | Why we chose this | Who decided |
|------|----------|--------------------|-------------------|-------------|
| | | | | |

---

## 6. What Happened
- **What we did, in order:**
  1.
- **Challenges we hit:**
- **How we overcame them (or didn't):**
- **What surprised us:**

---

## 7. Results
- **Final numbers vs. targets:**
- **What worked:**
- **What flopped:**
- **What we'd do differently:**
- **What we'd do exactly the same:**

---

## 8. Tools, Platforms & Access
| Tool / platform | What it was used for | Account / login location | Quirks & gotchas |
|-----------------|----------------------|---------------------------|------------------|
| | | | |

---

## 9. Process & SOPs Followed
- **Repeatable steps worth turning into an SOP:**
- **Existing SOPs / playbooks used:**
- **New SOP this project should generate:**

---

## 10. Asset Index
> Don't paste the assets here. Link to where they live, and make sure they actually live somewhere permanent (not a desktop, not a downloads folder).

- **Folder location:**
- **Final deliverables:**
- **Source files / working files:**
- **Screenshots:**
- **Photos / video:**
- **Schematics / diagrams:**
- **Budgets / invoices:**
- **Reports / dashboards:**
- **Recordings / transcripts:**

---

## 11. The Receipts
> The lines, numbers, and moments you'll want to reuse in a sales deck, case study, portfolio, or pitch. Pull them out now while you remember them.

-
-
-

---

## 12. Reflection
- **What this project taught me:**
- **What I'd want a future version of me (or an AI) to know before starting something like this again:**
